• Develop programmes and co-ordinate activities to contribute to the achievement of the Bureau's objectives;
  

• Monitor, analyse and disseminate information on developments in trade and trade policy in textiles and clothing;
  

• Assist members with respect to the general pursuit of their trade policy objectives in textiles and clothing, and textile negotiations in particular;
  

• Conduct studies on matters relevant to trade in textiles and clothing;
  

• Assist members in case of trade disputes in the textiles and clothing sector;
  

• Inform public opinion and collaborate with organisations and associations of consumers, importers and retailers engaged in the fight against protectionism in the sector;
  

• Promote exchange of views and information among different groups connected with trade in textiles and clothing.
